Deadlines were being missed, and the reason was visibility rather than capability. Project reviews, progress and planning were managed without transparency, risks had no structured mitigation process behind them, and requests were handled by hand. Systems that should have talked to each other did not, which lengthened time to market and delayed releases. Underneath all of it sat the same gap: no efficient way to report on or track what was actually happening, so progress could not be audited and accountability was hard to place.

An EPC solution and project management module brought portfolios and projects into one place. ERP and quality systems were integrated so the surrounding processes were standardised rather than bridged manually. NETVIBES with PLM Analytics was implemented over the top to visualise the data, with live reporting and dashboards for project reviews. More than 230 widgets were built against specific business requirements, and assembled into dashboards aimed at particular departments and roles — BU Head, COO, CEO — so that each saw the portfolio at the level they needed. Progress tracking then ran end to end through those dashboards.
